If you haven’t noticed (although how could you not?!), Food.com just got a makeover and we’re now lighter, brighter and sporting fun new colors!
We wanted to give you a sunnier, happier home to hang out in with all your fellow cooks. We’re also debuting a new tagline: Home of the Home Cook. This is to celebrate you and all your great contributions over the last 12 years — from our early days as Cookpoint to our life as Recipezaar and now as Food.com. Your recipes, photos and more have made us the largest — and best! — community recipe site in the world!
But don’t worry — our look is shiny and new, but all your favorite recipes, cookbooks, members, games and forums are still right where you need them. We didn’t move any tools or menus or change how things function.

Did you know our recipe page got an upgrade a few months ago? Take a peek at member-favorite Bourbon Chicken to see all the new bells and whistles. We’ve organized all your tools into one handy spot just to the right of the ingredients, increased the photo size to show off everyone’s great shots and moved the recipe’s notes and credits up front and center, where they should be! Now with our new colors, the recipes look even better!
Oh and one more cool new feature
We added a useful new took to our recipe page: full-screen kitchen view. This ingredients-and-directions-only view is perfect for pulling up on your laptop or tablet in the kitchen while you cook. Bonus: This tool has a timer option to help you stay on schedule. You can have multiple timers running, too. You’ll never burn anything again! (Well, one can dream.)
